A New Chapter at The Blind Briar's Ember
We're excited to announce a new chapter in the story of The Blind Briar's Ember. What began as a passion for collecting, restoring, and crafting quality pipes has naturally grown into something even more meaningful. We are proud to begin offering handcrafted pipes from a select group of talented artisan pipe makers whose work reflects the same commitment to tradition, craftsmanship, and quality that we value. It is an honor to support these makers by sharing their work with our customers and helping connect pipe enthusiasts with exceptional handmade pipes from around the world.
To each of the artisans who have chosen to place their trust in us, thank you. We are truly honored by your confidence and look forward to representing your craftsmanship with the respect, integrity, and appreciation it deserves
Dottle & Briar Pipe Company
From Montana USA, Dottle & Briar Pipe Company by Steve Scheer brings a different kind of appeal, rooted in American workmanship, practical design, and honest pipe-making tradition. Steve’s journey into pipe making began with a simple desire to craft a pipe of his own, but it quickly grew into something much deeper. Under the guidance of Mark and Glenn Tinsky of American Smoking Pipes, and later through the friendship and influence of Sean Reum of Reum Pipes, Steve learned the old-fashioned way—by watching, working, listening, and shaping one pipe at a time. His work reflects a deep respect for classic shapes, honest craftsmanship, and the pipe community itself, with a goal of creating solid, dependable pipes that collectors can appreciate and everyday smokers can afford.

Meet Our Artisan Pipe Makers.
Lefebvre Pipes – Houdain, France
Cédric Lefebvre's journey to pipe making was anything but ordinary. Born in Béthune and now living in Houdain, France, he spent many years as a professional musician, performing and teaching before discovering the world of traditional pipes in 2021. What began with the rediscovery of a long-forgotten Butz-Choquin pipe soon grew into a passion for the craftsmanship and artistry of handmade pipes.
Today, Cédric creates beautifully handcrafted pipes that reflect his creativity, attention to detail, and appreciation for traditional French pipe making. The Blind Briar's Ember is proud to represent his work and share it with pipe enthusiasts around the world.
