New Offerings From Across the Pipe-Making World
The Blind Briar’s Ember is proud to begin offering select pipes from two very different makers, each bringing something unique to the table. From France, Cedric Lefebvre Pipes offers a modern artisan-driven style, with pipes that reflect creativity, craftsmanship, and a distinct European character.
From Montana USA, Dottle & Briar Pipe Company by Steve Scheer brings a different kind of appeal, rooted in American workmanship, practical design, and honest pipe-making tradition. Steve’s journey into pipe making began with a simple desire to craft a pipe of his own, but it quickly grew into something much deeper. Under the guidance of Mark and Glenn Tinsky of American Smoking Pipes, and later through the friendship and influence of Sean Reum of Reum Pipes, Steve learned the old-fashioned way—by watching, working, listening, and shaping one pipe at a time. His work reflects a deep respect for classic shapes, honest craftsmanship, and the pipe community itself, with a goal of creating solid, dependable pipes that collectors can appreciate and everyday smokers can afford.
These two offerings will remain separate in identity and style, but both fit within our purpose at The Blind Briar’s Ember: connecting pipe smokers and collectors with pieces that carry character, quality, and a story worth telling.
