5 Solas Pipes is the work of American artisan pipe maker Jon Hawkins, a military veteran and pastor whose background brings a distinctive sense of purpose, tradition, and craftsmanship to his work.

Jon creates his pipes individually by hand, combining classic pipe-making influences with his own approach to shaping, proportion, finishing, and stem work. Rather than striving for the uniformity of factory production, each 5 Solas pipe develops its own character, with the grain and natural qualities of the briar helping influence the finished piece.

For Jon, pipe making is more than simply producing another pipe. His work reflects patience, attention to detail, and an appreciation for creating something by hand that can become a trusted companion for its owner for years to come.

Before liberty was declared, it was discussed around a table.

Off the beaten path in Boston is a tavern that has been home to some of the most significant conversations in American History. Long before the shots at Lexington and Concord, a group of ordinary men gathered in Boston’s Green Dragon Tavern. There, merchants, craftsmen, and patriots met in secret, debating the future of the colonies and laying plans that would ultimately shape a nation. It became known as the headquarters of the Sons of Liberty and the birthplace of revolutionary resolve.

The Green Dragon honors that legacy.

This elegant tavern style pipe is crafted from premium Greek briar and paired with a striking Yeti blue swirl stem, separated by a white smoky inlay that recalls the enduring architecture of colonial Boston. Refined in appearance yet bold in character, it is a pipe meant for thoughtful conversation, quiet reflection, and the fellowship that has always surrounded a good smoke.

Shipping Information

Orders are carefully inspected and securely packaged before shipment. Most orders ship within 1–2 business days after payment is received. U.S. orders are shipped with tracking, with delivery typically within 3–7 business days after shipment.

Tracking information will be provided once your order is on its way. We take special care in packaging every pipe to ensure it arrives safely and ready to enjoy.

Return Policy

We want you to be pleased with your purchase. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided the pipe remains unused, unsmoked, undamaged, and in the same condition in which it was received.

Pipes that have been smoked, altered, cleaned, or damaged after delivery cannot be returned. Buyers are responsible for return shipping unless the item received was incorrect or materially different from its description.
